hi,was wondering if there is a book or a place to read the history of the whole island.The wooden stairway in the pictures is beautiful even after all these years.Maybe when the keepers quarters are fixed up you can have people pay to be volunteer keepers like at other lighthouses

It would be helpful if there was a log of all lighthouse keepers and familiy members that lived on the island dates etc. thanks

Reply: You are right, although this is the first time somebody mentions it. Actually, the full list could be found via the link to Terry Pepper's South Fox page on our Links page. There scroll down to find a link to the keepers' list.

Hi.

My Grandfather William F. Green(e) was a lighthouse keeper on South Fox. He served serveral tours there as well as a stint at Cathead and Old Mission Light houses.

I returned today after a 7 day work project . The boat house has two coats of paint, lawns trimmed, chimney cleaned, and Cemetery cleaned up. Great work crew! Hope to help more in future.

DUE TO THE HUGE PROBLEMS CAUSED BY THE APPARENT DEMISE OF THE COMPANY THAT RAN OUR FORMER GUESTBOOK, FIVE MESSAGES IN THIS SECTION COULD NOT BE RETRIEVED FROM THEIR PARTIALLY DEFUNCT SERVER.
