This is a very nice site in general. Northern Breezes will be happy to document your progress and help with publicity.

You need a map or two. An aerial map from satelite is free and could be really interesting.

Good luck in your endeavers!

Reply: Maps are being worked on and will be published in the near future.

how about adding a map of the island and a larger map showing proximity to the mainland?

I am an aussie here on business. My wife is an Ohio gril and she just adores old lighthouses. I am just literally amazed after continually hearing the numerous grants that are available here that you can't get some assistance especially for such a worthwhile cause. Perhaps you should contact people like Sharp Solar and GE Energy for grants. An Inn, accommodation Brewpub come to mind. Hope you guys succeed. All the best.

SORRY TO SAY (BEING SO CLOSE TO LELAND) THAT THIS IS THE FIRST TIME TO YOUR SITE, BUT NOT THE LAST. MY BROTHER JIM AND HIS FAMILY IN FRANKFORT ENJOY IT EVERYDAY. WE COMMEND YOU FOR YOUR EFFORT TO RESTORE A HISTORIC PIECE OF THE PAST. WE ARE LIGHTHOUSE FREAKS TOO.

I was recently on the public land at the Northern end of the island, but was unable to access the public land on the Southern tip. I think dockage at the southern end would be necessary for the light to receive visitors.I wish you the best of luck on this great undertaking.
